Custom Tattoos

Our artists design with you, or draw a custom piece from your own ideas. We don't charge extra for custom designs unless the piece is rather large.

Precise, clean, comfortable

Body Piercing

Our full-time piercer, Lee, started her piercing journey right here in 2015. She's fabulous with children, fluent in Spanish, and one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet.

Free Consultations

A consultation sets your appointment length and gives you an accurate price quote. They're free, and in-person consults need no appointment. Just stop by during business hours.

Sleeves, halves, quarters

Cover-ups & Large Scale

Full, half and quarter sleeves and cover-up tattoos are planned in person, so your artist can see the canvas and plan the piece properly.

Before you come in

Shop policies

Bring a photo ID

North Carolina requires you to be 18 or older to be tattooed, with a valid ID. A parent cannot sign consent for a minor to be tattooed. Forget your ID, forget your tattoo.

Piercing minors

Under 18? A parent or legal guardian with valid ID must be present and provide proof of guardianship (birth certificate, insurance card with both names, or the minor's permit/ID with matching last name and/or address). Piercing a minor is at the piercer's discretion.

No drugs or alcohol

No smoking, drugs or alcohol in our studio, ever. It is illegal for us to tattoo or pierce anyone under the influence. No exceptions.

Sun & water

Finish your sun and water activities first: no direct sunlight or swimming for 2 weeks on a new tattoo. If you're sunburned, even a little, we won't tattoo you.

Eat well, be rested

It's no fun to do anything on an empty stomach or a hangover. Wear loose clothing, and try not to wear white.

Feeling sick? Reschedule

If you're sick, please stay home and reschedule. We'll ask anyone who seems unwell to come back another time.

After you leave

Aftercare

Tattoo aftercare

Leave that bandage alone

Keep it on for 1–4 hours. It protects your fresh tattoo, which is still a wound, from airborne bacteria.

Wash and treat

With clean hands, gently wash with warm water and mild liquid antibacterial soap (no bar soap, no washcloth). Pat dry with a clean towel. Repeat 3–6 times a day for the first 3 days, with a light coat of ointment such as Aquaphor, then switch to unscented lotion. Do not use Neosporin or triple antibiotic ointments.

Shower, don't soak

Showering is fine. Avoid baths, hot tubs, pools, lakes and the ocean for at least 2 weeks.

Don't pick, don't scratch

Peeling and itching are normal as it heals. If it itches, gently slap it; if it peels, apply lotion.

Protect it from the sun

Once healed, use SPF 30+ sunblock to keep your tattoo vibrant for years.

Piercing aftercare

Leave your piercing alone

Avoid touching, twisting or moving your jewelry, picking at scabs, snagging it, or sleeping on it. Irritation prolongs healing and can cause bumps.

Clean with saline

Spray sea salt or saline solution on the piercing 2–3 times a day and let it air dry. Skip Q-tips and cotton balls.

Optional: anti-inflammatory

Ibuprofen or Aleve can reduce swelling and soreness for 3 days to a week.

Problems, questions or concerns? Contact your artist or piercer, not your friends. We do this every day; they don't.

They're permanent. Think before you ink.
